ISSL Environmental Policy Statement

Independent Safety Services Ltd (ISSL) offers a range of services in the field of waste management, carriage of dangerous goods and Safety management related regulations for the UK and international clients. ISSL activities are carried out in compliance with all current applicable and relevant environmental legislation.

The organisation is aware of the potential impacts its business activities could have on the environment and is therefore committed to minimising these impacts where possible and striving for continual environmental improvement.

Environmental improvement is achieved through:

• effective use of raw materials, energy and waste minimisation
• raising the level of environmental awareness of employees through appropriate environmental training
• minimising  our environmental impact on clients by using public transport where possible for consultant travel
• reducing the need for travel due to office based consultancy utilising email and other available technology
• use of non-paper systems where possible by utilising the internet and email facilities

Environmental improvements are achieved by setting specific objectives and targets that are monitored through regular review programmes; these include periodic internal and external auditing.
